I love to try stuff, big surprise right? But using things that are not for my skin type can be a disaster so I don’t try as many skin care products as I would like. On a visit to Nordstrom for the Anniversary sale I met the nicest Kiehl’s expert. Besides getting my cosmetics goodies she gave me some information and samples (YESSSSS!) of the Ultra Facial line of products.

Kiehl’s has been around since 1851 but I have to confess I know nothing about the brand. I have heard about several products over the years but I’ve never tried anything. I told my new Nordstrom friend this and she was able to fill me in on the background of the brand. I don’t know about you but my favorite sales associates are the ones that know when you want details. She could tell from the look on my face that I wanted the info so she went into some background and a brief rundown on their most popular products. After that we talked about me. What I use and what they have that might be of interest. I can’t tell you how rarely this happens, it’s a simple thing but so important. She saw my brand loyalty was weak and pounced! She asked about what my husband uses too. That was quick, NOTHING. He’s got some great samples now too.

I’m going to be trying the Ultra Facial line of products. I’ll let you know how it goes! If you want to look into the Ultra Facial line, click here for details.

Have you tried any Kiehl’s products? Let me know what you like from the brand!

Oh my god, you don’t know how much this post comes at the right moment for me!

She probably didn’t tell you that all Kiehl’s sales assistant have a 4 weeks training on all product, how they work, how to use them etc before they can work on the shop floor. They take someone very simple, with a little it factor but never a catwalk beauty. They also never have too much make up on, they are supposed to look approachable and professional.
They aren’t allowed to oversell the product and use words such as “fabulous” etc.

Kiehl’s is a brand i absolutely love and love their ethics.
I was just about to get out the door and go buy this line lol. Would really want to know what you think about it.

No wonder she was so informative. She really gave me a lot of information that I needed about products for my skin. I just love Creme de Corps! I have used it since Wednesday and I love it! Today was my first day using everything. I love the gel moisturizer especially, it’s so good!

Yeah, creme de corps is amazing!

Sadly, the samples i got from this line aren’t as big as yours so i didn’t get much use out of them. I didn’t like it so much though, strange cauz it looked promising. I felt as if my skin was way oilier than usual! Funny right? I also credit that to the gel moisturizer you like!
Would you purchase the full size products?

You should get the midnight recovery treatment and the vitamin C cream (forgot the name). They are FANTASTIC!

So funny you mentioned this because I decided yesterday to stop using the gel moisturizer on my super oily t-zone. It was oiler than usual with that moisturizer! I like the cleanser, toner, and gel moisturizer (not in my t-zone) a lot so far. I’d buy it. That moisturizer would be better all over my face in fall/winter. I got one sample of the midnight recovery. I haven’t tried it yet!

Hahaha, i’m glad i’m not the only one that got that impression then :)
I got samples of the Ultra Facial Cream a couple of weeks back and *that* is definitely going to be my winter cream! It feels A-MA-ZING! Great consistency, melts on the skin, very moisturizing and didn’t grease me up at all! You should grab a sample and try it as well.

Loving the MRC. Not a fan of lavender smells but the product is great!

PS: there is a good valid reason as for why i am a Kiehl’s sample whore lol, i usually NEVER get any samples and try full size products (which is stupid as i don’t always like everything i buy).

Anycase, if you ever try more products from them, i would like to know what you think about it.
