Le Metier De Beaute Red My Lips & Gypsy Rose Me

Recently I showed you that I picked out one of the sets from the Ken Downing Bordeaux Collection from Neiman’s. There are three sets available at $49 each and I wanted to pick one set out to take home with me.  As hard as it was to decide I settled on the Red My Lips lipstain and Gypsy Rose Me nail polish. It seemed to be the best fit for me. I wanted two things that were fun to wear and a little different from what I have in my stash.

Gypsy Rose Me is a pretty nail polish isn’t it? I tried to capture the nice little shimmer it has to it in the light. This is a great color for fall. I used two coats of color and then a top coat. I could see three coats of color making this shade look a little deeper and richer. If I wasn’t so lazy I’d have tested that theory out!

Red My Lips is something else. It’s really pigmented and goes on smooth as butter. I was a little afraid of it to be real honest. Because with a very light touch to your lips you get such a deep rich color deposit. It’s kind of scary. This is ONE COAT pictured above. It’s such a rich shade that one coat gives you enough color for all day. Pretty amazin! It lasts through meals and fades really well and not patchy. I hate a lipstick that wears off ugly…know what I mean? I do think that there are similar colors out there but I’m always happy with the quality of LMDB products.

This was taken just for fun. I wanted to see if I could take a picture of myself and show you both things WITHOUT getting a hairy nostril in the shot. I failed….so you get one pic with a hairy nostril and one without:)
