I’ve been using this serum since June and I love it. I could tell you a lot of technical scientific stuff which I’ll insert below but let me just say that the first night after using this I noticed a difference. That is very rare when it comes to the skin care products that I’ve used in the past. I am usually very impatient and eager to see results but it doesn’t really happen as fast as I want it. But those skin care experts at L’oreal-when they say “texture perfector” they mean it. My face was smoother the next morning after I used this serum.
From the L’oreal website:
Refines and perfects skin. Even at pixel-level.
Suitable for all skin tones.

- In 1 week, over 80% of women saw smoother, softer texture.
- In 1 month, women state that pores appear smaller, fine lines are reduced and texture is smoother.

I don’t dislike the texture of my skin but I knew it could be better and I’m a little crazy about serums I must admit. This one though takes the award for really getting my skin to respond favorably. It’s a light weight serum that goes on quickly and easily. It smooths on really easy and you don’t need much to do the job. I already got a backup! One thing that I will say is with my combo skin in the beginning I tried to wear this during the day and that didn’t work. It really made me oilier during the day so I switched to wearing it at night. If you have normal skin this might be fine to wear day and night for you. When I like something I want to lather my body in it so I tend to go overboard:) So when they say in the info above that it’s suitable for all skin types that is sort of true.
This retails for $24.99 but watch out for deals on this. I stalk CVS for sales on skincare and they often times will give you up to 30% off if you join their mailing list. Most of the deals can be used online and some in store also. At Walgreens I got a $3 off coupon for this serum on a recent visit thats good till the end of this month so LOOK for deals everywhere! I do notice that the Youth Code line is cheapest at Walmart. I’ve seen everyday prices of $20 for this serum there.
Back to whats going on as I use this serum more and more. I’m noticing that besides smoother skin I have a marked improvement in pigmentation. I have a lot of pigmentation issues on the outer areas of my face but I’m seeing them slowly lighten up. Nice. I use this in the evening after cleansing my skin. I can’t say enough good things about it. I’m also in love with the Texture Perfector Pore Vanisher that I reviewed for you back in May. Thats a fantastic primer. I have the Youth Code Texture Perfector Day/Night Cream also so I’m going to be testing that out very soon so look for a review on that. I like to use products for at least a month before I review them. A lot can happen in a month! Breakouts and all hell can break bad when it comes to your skin.
Let me know if you have tried this serum. I’d love to know your thoughts good or bad!
