Mac Flat Out Fabulous Lipstick, $15
I love the way this one looks! It’s a beautiful bright pink. It’s not the easiest lipstick to wear. I have been testing this out and prepping my lips with lip balm has been necessary. I wish it wasn’t but it is. I picked up a bunch of colors from the recent Retro Matte lipstick release. This is by far my favorite color though. It’s still available on the Nordstrom website and says “coming soon” on the Mac website. They must be mixing up another batch!
Take a look at how it looks on the lips. I didn’t prep my lips with balm for these shots. But after taking pics I slathered on some!
I’m not a fan of the Retro Matte lipstick formula. I prefer the newer matte formula they have. It’s well….FABULOUS. But I love this color and the other Retro shades that I got. The one thing that I will say is that this lasts forever on the lips. It doesn’t move. I love that about it. I rarely need to touch up. This sucka doesn’t move!
Let me know if you’d like to see the other Retro Matte lipstick colors that I picked up! Most of them are permanent so no big rush to buy which is good!
Awesome!!! You picked it up!!!! I love it myself as well and managed to picked up a few more from the collection too. I just swipe my lips with Burts Bee lip balm stick before applying and I’m good to go. You are so right. This formula does not budge at all. Even after eating and drinking.
So glad you like yours! I am almost ok with the formula because it lasts so long. A little EOS lip balm and I’m good!

Love this shade! It’s my favourite out of all.
I rocked this lipstick yesterday and all the girls in my office loved it! Two observations; it doesn’t move like a normal lipstick but it looked bad after drinking because to pull off a matte lip it has to look perfect so I found myself touching up a few times. Also later in the day my lips started to show signs of dryness. So next time I’ll put a little Nevea lip balm down first.
I was SO going to pick this one up but I swatched it next to Girl About Town, which I own, and couldn’t justify the purchase. The finish is different (retro matte vs satin) but the colors are spot on. I went with the Riri Woo lip glass instead. It good that it’s permanent cause I may end up caving in the future
Girl About Town is a wayyy better pick when it comes to comfort! I’m so glad that there is no rush on these. I hate the limited edition scramble!
love love love this color on you!!!! just for reference what shade are you? I’m nc42 and I am unsure if I should pick this one up because I’ve seen some swatches online and some of them are more of a plum color, idk why
