Hi, my name is Crystal and I have a tendency to be ashy…
Sometimes I think I should introduce myself that way. My skin is not only super dry in the winter but would you believe that it’s one hundred degrees outside and I’m still fighting the ash monster? It’s true. Not only do my knees and elbows suffer but my feet also. I look like I have little lizard toes with glittery polish at the ends. Not attractive.
My issues with ash make me somewhat of an expert as to what works for moisture starved skin even though I slip up/forget/totally give up sometimes. The key for me is finding something that works fast, smells good, and has staying power. Most products fail at one of those three things and I find out at the worst times. I’ve gotten products that work instantly and fade away three hours later. I’ve purchased a product that works really well but makes me smell like I showered in a vat of chemical waste. It all is disappointing but also the cost of fighting the gray monster. And then along comes Skin Therapy Oil.
Take a look at the details from palmers.com:
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil is an advanced multi-purpose skin perfection product that can be used all over the body. This preservative-free, lightweight formula contains an exclusive blend of key ingredients formulated to help improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks, dry, damaged skin, uneven skin tone, aging skin and fine lines and wrinkles. Skin looks and feels instantly soft and smooth with this unique, non-greasy, non-staining formula.
I can tell you I’ve been using this (it has a PUMP too!) all over my body and I love it. It isn’t too heavy, smells great, and lasts all day. My number one test is spraying my feet and then walking in sandals. Sounds crazy huh? Well if a product is too slick I will end up crashing into doors and sliding right out of my shoes. How do I know this…because I almost broke my nose heading into Walmart one day after using something new on my feet. So every time I use something new I walk around the house first before I head out in front of people that may witness me giving myself two black eyes.
Speaking of Walmart you can pick this up there and at most drugstores like CVS too. Check it out for around $10. I am working my way through my bottle at an alarming rate currently and as an added bonus my husband likes the way it smells!
