Hard Candy Jelly Bean Blue, Illamasqua Speckle, and Deborah Lippmann I’m Not Edible

I love all the fun polishes that are coming out for Spring! But you have to wonder which polishes are best if you want to get your “speckle” on. I picked up three different brands and painted all my little fingers and I’m going to see as the week goes on which brands polish does best over time.

Hard Candy Jelly Been Blue #663-these polishes at Walmart are $4 each!

Illamasqua Speckle-picked this pretty purple up at Sephora for $16.

Deborah Lippmann I’m Not Edible-love this pretty pink, it was $19 at Nordstrom.

I started out with one of my favorite base coats Butter London’s Nail Foundation and did two coats of each nail color. Then I topped each nail off with Seche Vite. When it came to application I noticed that the Illamasqua and Deborah Lippmann shades looked great after the first coat of color. The Hard Candy formula is much thicker in comparison but a little uneven on that first coat. But it looks great after two coats. In fact they all look rather identical after the manicure is over and done.

The little bits in each polish vary in size of course but if you are easily amused like me its all good!

I’ll check up with you on Wednesday and take some close up shots of my nails and we’ll see whats going on with the tips and chipping overall.
