Covergirl Queen Collection Lipstick-Mocha Locha #Q470

I mentioned on YouTube recently that for under $10 at the drugstore/Walmart you can get some fantastic lipstick shades. Here’s a new one that I’m obsessed with from the Covergirl Queen Collection. It’s called Mocha Locha and I’m crazy (get it?) about it!

I just love this shade. I picked mine up for less than $10 and if you could use a pretty everyday color like this you can find it at the drugstore or another great place that many people have near them, Target. The Target by me has the biggest Covergirl Queen selection of products in my area.

Pick up a bronzer from the Covergirl Queen Collection while your there. I really love the bronzer and use it all the time now. I’m so glad I tried it. Have you tried any Covergirl Queen products that I should be looking at? The only product that I’ve tried that didn’t work for me was the concealer but the shadows, lipsticks, and bronzers have been great. I think in the regular Covergirl line the only thing I get often are the mascaras. Lash Blast is a favorite.

Covergirl Queen Desert Bronze Quad and Natural Hue Concealer

I got really excited when I went into a large Target on a recent road trip. They had a huge makeup section and more Covergirl Queen Collection products than I’ve seen in the stores in my area. I picked up the Desert Bronze Quad and the Natural Hue Concealer in the shade Golden.

I really like this quad. I think the shadows are so pretty and used all together are amazing. It’s rare to find a quad where I like all the colors. This is the best drugstore quad I’ve come across in a while color wise. All the shades work in harmony. Now when it comes to wear these do well with primer but there is a little more fallout than I like in the shadow shades. These colors are beautiful and bronzy not chalky but I found doing my eyes before the rest of my face was a must. I didn’t see any other quads that I wanted but I really hope to see more of these sets from Covergirl Queen soon. At around $7 these are great for the money!

I had very high hopes for Covergirl Queens Natural Hue Concealer. I picked up the shade Golden at Target for under $10 with my fingers crossed that it was something like my new favorite Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. Wouldn’t it be great if I found an alternative to paying over $20 for concealer? These two products look similar and have similar packaging. But thats all they have in common.

Natural Hue is a much better fit for someone with very light concealing needs. I happen to have pits of darkness under my eyes. I can usually go with one coat of Estee Lauder concealer but with this I need a few layers to see a difference. The texture of Natural Hue is a lot thinner. It’s a very light formula and serious darkness/redness/veining are no match for it. I will say it doesn’t crease under the eyes which is fantastic but I wouldn’t repurchase. If you have less serious concealing needs it might be worth a try. But if you are trying to erase blemishes, under eye circles, or scaring skip it. Take a look at a quick swatch of the concealer below.

Covergirl Blast Flipstick #805 Pucker

Here’s another one!

Yesterday I showed you Flashy a deeper purple shade but today I want to show you Pucker a pretty pink!

On the lips Pucker is beautiful! I used the dark pink side all over the lips and the frosty light pink color in the center of the lips.

I love this one just as much as Flashy, check out the review w/details on the formula here. I love these. I’ll show you the other one that I got soon. It’s orange!

Covergirl is buy one get one half off at CVS this week!

Covergirl Blast Flipstick #815 Flashy

You are gonna need to check the new Blast Flipstick’s from Covergirl out. I’m telling you right now these are one of the best new products to come out so far this year to me. Yep, I said it. I’m gonna let the pictures do the talking. Check this!

both colors mixed on the lips

The color is gorgeous and both sides feel really nice and moisturizing on the lips. After playing with this for a while my favorite looks to do are putting the deeper purple shade all over the lips and then putting the pink shade in the center of the lips for a nice shimmery pop/ambre look. The other way I use this is putting the deep purple shade all over then the pink shade over top. That’s how I’m wearing it in the pictures above. You can also just use the pink shimmer shade all over the lips. There are a lot of fun ways to wear this Blast Flipstick and that’s part of the reason I love it!

The only minor issue I feel I must share is that these do melt into your lips like Revlon Lip Butters. They are creamy. The creaminess of the formula melts down fast as you swipe it on your lips and your going to go through one of these faster than other similar products. I am fine with it because it feels great on the lips and moisturizing throughout the day.  I did two touch-ups throughout the day when wearing this which is average.

I am gonna pick up the orange one and a red one on my next visit to the store. Please check these out yourself! These are just FUN!

Covergirl Lash Blast 24HR Mascara Review

I am a big fan of mascara. I can put on mascara for five minutes straight per eye-true story. Here’s a look at the new 24HR Lash Blast!

I like Lash Blast in general. The only one or version that didn’t work for me was the lengthening version in the yellow tube. The problem here is that this 24 HR version is kind of exactly like the other two versions that I like when it really comes down to it. It does last a little longer but the hype over the brush isn’t warranted. It’s not that revolutionary to me.

It’s a nice durable brush. I love that its tapered. When I opened the mascara itself the smell of rubber hit me….strange. But the mascara itself doesn’t move during the day and looks good. It doesn’t come off until I take it off. Take a look. Sorry I had my glasses on and you can see the dent in the side of my nose:)

Before/After (2 coats)

I’d repurchase but I’m not thrilled to pieces over this mascara. I got it for about $7 so it’s a nice price. I tested out #805 Black.
