Armani Lip Maestro #400, $32 at Saks
Have you seen one of Armani’s bulls-eye shadow trio’s?
Well I got this one a while ago and I hid it from myself. I found it again and I’m lusting over it. Take a look.
Armani Eye Trio #1 Steel Black ($59)
How beautiful is that? Its so freakishly pretty its hard to even think about using it. But I did. I love the outside color (taupe-ish yay!) most but the middle shade was a huge surprise. You can’t tell from the picture above but it’s not (boring) what it seems at all. It’s a lot more complex. It really is a creamy ivory shade but depending on the way you look at it there are gold sparkles in it.
The only slight disappointment was the center of the bulls-eye. The black shade isn’t as matte or pigmented as say Mac’s Carbon. I was kind of surprised that I ended up having to double up on it in eye looks. It’s a smooth black but not as flawless as I would expect.
There are a few Eyes To Kill Trio’s available now in stores and on the Armani website. I think this is the only one I’m getting. Overall I’m so pleased with this one and these aren’t limited edition. These are worth a swatch at the counter next time your at the department store.
This is the new love of my life y’all….
I have two Eyes To Kill Shadows ($32 each) that I love and had to add this one! There are four new shades and this one was calling my name, screaming really. Without further ado…#20 Obsidian Black.
Armani Eyes to Kill #13, #20, and #02 (top to bottom)
Hunt down Obsidian Black soon, its amazing! I got mine at Neiman’s:)
Rouge d’Armani Sheers 300, 302, 500, and 600
I was going to skip these. I wasn’t going to get one of them but here I am with four! Why? Because the reviews I read kept stating that these were so comfortable to wear and full of moisture. I am a sucker for a moisturizing lip product even if it is a really nice color infused balm. Yes I said it, this is an amazingly comfortable balm with the Armani name on it and I’m so happy I have it.
Here is some information from the Armani website:
Featuring a creamy texture, feather light and translucent, as hydrating as a balm. The brilliant bold color is wearable and chic.
A cutting edge color formulation process: the Color Shine Moisture Polymer, a revolutionary component able to retain twice its volume of water, enhance color luminosity while locking in hydration on the lip surface for over 8 hours.
At $30 per shade this is a pricey balm. I know that. It’s a pleasure to apply (think YSL Rouge Volupte type pleasure) and I plan to wear my shades out. Even though it says Armani on it I think of this as something thats great for everyday wear. You don’t need a mirror to apply and your going to look “done” and like you tried. I say all that to relay why this type of thing is perfect for me. And the one thing that they got right on this effort that makes it a home run in my opinion is that its a glossy balm. If it was a true Chapstick like balm all of these would have gone back to Nordstrom after I opened the first one. These Sheers are really nice and glossy and not chalky in any way. I really like them. Lets take a look at the colors I got.
Rouge d’Armani #300, Acid Tangerine
Rouge d’Armani #302, Orange Mutation
Rouge d’Armani #500, Ecstasy
Rouge d’Armani #600, Bitten
I am getting an average of about 5 hours of wear from these. They have no smell or taste which is great and they don’t fade strangely after meals. Did I mention touching up is fun? It is!
I think that they are a great fit for someone that doesn’t love lipstick and just likes a bit of color. Or a lip product junkie like me! My favorite hands down is #500, it’s amazing. I think that I could have skipped #300 but its a great fit for someone that wants to find a respectable orange shade that will go with the trend. I love #302 because its a strong coral which is a great fit for someone with pigmented lips like me. I love a good blend of orange and red. I’d say #600 is a great pick for the sophisticated ladies out there. I think its a great shade for any season really. There are twelve Armani Sheer shades in all so this is quite a varied collection.
These Sheers are a great addition to the Armani line. Check them out at an Armani counter near you!

I love Gloss D’Armani, I have #505 and I wear it a lot because it’s one of the most comfortable lip glosses that I own. I decided to get one of the new gloss colors #405 from the Spring Collection. I really like it because it’s more of an everyday color that I can put on instead of the bright gloss colors I tend to wear and love most.
Did I mention that Gloss d’Armani colors last longer on me than most other brands? I definitely do less touch ups also. I couldn’t be happier with this pick from Armani Spring! The gloss is $28, check it out on your next visit to the Armani counter:)

What a beauty. I love this eye palette from Armani for the holidays. It’s a nice trio of pretty shimmers that is just right for me since I tend to overdose on red lipstick during this time of year. You know the old “rule” of not going deep or dark with both your eye colors and lip color at the same time? I try to follow that so I have been getting a lot of use out of this.
Sparkly champagne/light lavender on the eyes and killer red lips work for me!
swatched in sunlight
This palette is great for everyday looks. I swatched the colors heavily in the pictures but one of my favorite things is to do a sheer wash of color all over my eyelid. After lining my eyes and putting on mascara, I’m done! These colors can be layered and mix beautifully with darker browns and berry colors from my existing stash. I love the texture of Armani shadows. They are smooth and if it wasn’t for the price I’d stock up. Just beautiful.
swatched in regular light
Check this out at the Armani counter on your next visit. At $59 its pricey but I’m glad I picked one up. There is a holiday face palette that you can take a look at also. I figured this palette was all I needed since I can use everything but the lavender shade as a highlighter on my eyes near my eyebrows and on the top of my cheeks. I use this as a face/eye palette already so why put out another $59?

Designer Lift Foundation, $65
I got to check out the new foundation from Giorgio Armani yesterday. There are ten shades in all. Despite being a fuller coverage foundation this is supposed to feel light and not like a mask. I keep hearing about a matte finish also, so sign me up to try this!
This might be the one I try instead of the new Tom Ford Foundation. I keep hearing about it not being the best thing for someone like myself with combination skin. I’m not one to touch up much and the last thing I like to do is babysit my foundation.
Eye Palette, $59
This Eye Palette looks kind of amazing too. I love the lavender and the beautiful champagne color. There is another palette available (for the Face I believe) but this one is the one that I’m into. I have to admit the fact that because this one has a little lavender in it made me even more excited about it.
Le Metier De Beaute Innocence Eye Shadow, $30- I’m in love with Innocence. I had this beautiful color used on me in a makeover last month and I have been using it every couple of days since! Besides the fact that this is a great eyeshadow color its a fantastic BLUSH! I use it as a blush a LOT! It’s perfect for peachy slightly shimmery cheeks. I love how it makes me look happy even if I’m not. If you don’t have any eyeshadows from LMDB this might be the one to start with because it has two uses.

Le Metier De Beaute Artemis Eye Liner, ?- I got this as a GWP on a recent makeover at LMDB and I love it! I’m not sure if this is for sale anymore but let me tell you I really like it. This pretty blue shade pops on my brown eyes. I love the brush it reminds me of one of my favorite drugstore brands L’oreal Liner Intense.

Giorgio Armani Maestro Eyeshadow #20, $29- This pretty shade goes on like butter, I love the smoothness of this silky powder. It’s a pretty brownish gold that really stands out on the eyes. I’d love to get more of these shadows because the texture cant be beat and they have some great colors available. I wish they were at a lower price point, geez $30 a pop! WOW! Swatch some of these on your next visit to the Armani counter, I think you’ll fall in love!

Giorgio Armani Maestro Palette #2 Floral, $59- This is the perfect natural nudish palette to me. I really enjoyed using this palette on days that I wanted to really go bold with my lips and I needed a simple natural eye look to pair it with. I usually use three shades or so from this eye palette at a time and the smoothness of the eyeshadow texture can’t be beat. They just layer and blend so easily and the eye looks created look so pretty. I think I’ll get more Armani palettes instead of individual shadow shades at $30 each. I’m kind of addicted to the shadow texture thats for sure! This palette can work for a wide number of skin tones.

I recently picked this up after having it on my list of things to try for the last several months. I was holding off on getting it because I usually don’t use primer in the summer months. I depend on a few tinted moisturizers for coverage during the summer so primer is an extra step I don’t need as far as I am concerned. I was a little worried about the price tag too. It’s the most expensive primer that I’ve ever purchased at $56 for 1 oz. of product.
Is it worth that? Well I have to tell you I don’t know that I’d get it again. For my oily skin it’s not a perfect match. It’s a good primer that does help provide a great base for my makeup. I apply primer after doing my normal cleansing and moisturizing in the morning. It does add an extra layer of protection that I like for my skin and then helps my foundation stay on longer. I’m just not crazy about what is going on with my t-zone area with this primer during the day. There aren’t any claims I should point out that this primer is supposed to control my oily skin areas. So I found that using this on my cheeks and chin instead of my t-zone worked much better for me.
I’m keeping this away from my greasy forehead until at least mid October! If you have normal skin then this is a great fit year around but for me it’s better for areas that aren’t oil war zones. I’m going to wear this out during the winter when my skin falls into the “normal” category because I am determined to use up every drop of this at $56 a tube…it’s like liquid gold.
