Laura Mercier Artist’s Palette For Eyes ($48, Sephora Exclusive)
I love the holidays! It’s the best time to get deals on makeup sets. I heard from quite a few blog readers about holiday sets in the last week or so. Most of them asked which sets I think are the best deals at Sephora and Ulta. I thought I’d tell you about the must see deals at Sephora first. The sets are so good and tempting you could go bankrupt!
I really recommend carefully thinking about what you really need in your stash most. Because going to Sephora (or shopping online) without really thinking could be dangerous. Kind of like heading to a buffet on an empty stomach! Good idea in theory but a really bad idea after the first thirty minutes. Ha!
This isn’t everything available so check out the whole value sets section for deals. I put the item number for each set under the picture. If you want to look at a specific set on sephora.com you can just put the item number into the search box (in the top right corner) on the website and take a look at the details quickly.
There are eighteen new lipsticks from Laura Mercier that just came out. I was curious and picked up two of them. I wanted to show you the first color Plum Orchid. It’s really pretty. I love the lipstick’s texture, it’s soooo creamy. I’m getting 4-5 hours of wear and the pigmentation is fantastic. You know I don’t have any sympathy for drying lipsticks. I’m so glad Plum Orchid is full of moisture and keeps my lips hydrated. When I press my lips together all I feel is buttery goodness. Plum Orchid is going in my purse ASAP.
Notice the new lipstick packaging-love it!
Plum Orchid Creme Smooth Lip Colour ($26/.14 oz)
Laura introduces a luxurious lipstick that gives lips the ultimate in color, texture and finish. In one smoothing swipe, the cream formula envelops lips in rich color with a semi-lustrous finish. The cushiony, lightweight texture feels comfortable, while pure olive oil and vitamin E nourish. Features an elegant, modern case with a metalized finish.
Check these out at Nordstrom or your favorite LM counter. They aren’t limited edition so you have time to check them out-no rush.
I love these things!
Laura Mercier makes a lot of products that I love but my hands down favorite thing is the Caviar Sticks. These smooth eye colors go on like butter and give you some time to work them in (blend blend blend) and then bam they set. I always use eye primer on my lids but even when swatched on my hand (without primer) I’ve noticed that these do not move after a minute or so. I have to use eye remover/cleansing oil to get them off. Once they set you are good to go. All day! They are $24 each and there are some great shades available.
I got Plum first about a year ago and over the last few months I’ve been picking up the other colors I wanted. Here are some quick swatches and remember to click on any pictures you’d like blown up bigger so you can see the shades better!

Most of these are at any LM makeup counter in your favorite department store. They are also all (except Golden which I think might be an limited edition color) at lauramercier.com.
Check these out. Start with just one and see how much you end up using it before you get more. I use them as eye look bases, alone, together, with powder shadows, and as eye liners. They really are multi purpose eye sticks to me.
I loved Laura Mercier’s Spring standout nail polish Luscious and I have used it a lot since I got it months ago. I came across the LM Fall 2012 Collection and had to pick up Organza. For $18 it’s a luxury polish but it’s unique darn it! Take a look.
I used a base coat, two coats of Organza, and a top coat. Just beautiful! I picked this up at Nordstrom, it’s also available on the Laura Mercier website here along with the rest of the Fall 2012 Collection. Check Organza out soon, it’s limited edition.
This is an interesting gloss to me because it is one of the thinnest formulas I’ve ever come across. The doe foot applicator included spreads it across my lips perfectly but it feels like I have nothing on. It’s weightless! And then I feel a little tingle. It’s a plumper too folks! And I don’t need it, but I do notice a little bit of plumping and I like it! Who doesn’t like a juicy lip?
Wildberry Lip Plumper (.18 oz’s/$30)
I love the color, its a light pink violet. This lasts well during the day but I find that I need to touch it up every few hours. I think that people who don’t like lip gloss would be happy with this. I can’t tell you how moisturizing yet weightless it is. I don’t usually go out of my way to find lip plumpers but this is a favorite. It’s not too intense.
I picked Wildberry up at Nordstrom but I think the best place to get it online is at the Laura Mercier website. There are nine different Lip Plumper shades available. Wildberry is the only one that I have. I do have some other lip shades from the brand to show you in the future. I like this color best though!
Meet my new loves…the three LM Metallic shades that are my go to for quick Summer eyes!
Burnished Copper, Alloy, and Rose Gold (l to r)- .3 oz’s each
In the Summer I get eye look lazy. It’s so hot and I want to have something on my eyes most days with mascara which is a must. I really love using creme products because lets face it, slapping on a creme is easier than blending out your powder shadows. That’s where these eye cremes from Laura Mercier come in. They dress up my eyes and make me look like I did something! But it also looks like I’m not trying to hard which is exactly where I like to be in my makeup game.
I got one shade first (Rose Gold) and after using it for a few days, I ran back for more. These colors are metallic and beautiful! I use them alone, with powder eyeshadow, and with other cremes like Mac Paint Pots or L’oreal Hip Liners. They work with everything. I love the texture and the colors are out of this world. I think the sheen or finish that they leave behind on my eye after I’m done is so flattering and kinda sexy.
Burnished Copper, Alloy, and Rose Gold
swatched left to right
A little goes a long way with these. You need a minimal amount to do each eye lid which is good because the tubes are tiny! I really think they should be bigger and that’s my only gripe with these. They retail for $22 each and I do feel like they should be twice as big. Please swatch these at the LM counter and my recommendation for all skin tones is Rose Gold. That is the chosen one, trust me!
I picked these up at Nordstrom and when I checked the Laura Mercier site I found out that they are having a F&F 20% off sale till June 30th. Check there if you want to pick a Metallic Creme Eye shade up!
