Sephora Holiday Sets-My Favorites!

I love the holidays! It’s the best time to get deals on makeup sets. I heard from quite a few blog readers about holiday sets in the last week or so. Most of them asked which sets I think are the best deals at Sephora and Ulta. I thought I’d tell you about the must see deals at Sephora first. The sets are so good and tempting you could go bankrupt!
I really recommend carefully thinking about what you really need in your stash most. Because going to Sephora (or shopping online) without really thinking could be dangerous. Kind of like heading to a buffet on an empty stomach! Good idea in theory but a really bad idea after the first thirty minutes. Ha!

I’m crazy about eyeliner. I don’t really feel “done” without eyeliner and mascara. But its really hard to get me to come outside of my comfort zone and use anything other than a pencil or liquid liner. I am so glad that I came out of my safe zone for this! It’s another great Pro product from Lorac that will go well with my Pro Eyeshadow Palette (review/swatches here) and Pro Powder Cheek Stains (review/swatches here) want to see? I got two shades Black and Plum.
Black and Plum
The thing I love most about these two liners is the rich color and flawless application that you can achieve with the brush. I can’t tell you how much I love the fact that the brush is in the top of the bottle. As a person that can’t decide which brush to use I love that the perfect applicator is right there for me. I’ve been using these two colors for weeks and I haven’t lost the liner top yet. This is perfect for use each day and when you travel.
Would you believe that I’ve never had a purple eyeliner before? This Plum eye color is gorgeous and since I have a crazy obsession with purple eyeshadow it was about time I got a good purple liner right? It’s just beautiful. It’s a nice deep almost eggplant color that looks beautiful with my brown eyes.
Both of these colors last all day and I love the finish. It’s not like shiny patent leather (which I HATE) and it’s not super matte either. There are four shades available and I’d love to pick up the Navy next because I love dark blue liners. They make the white part of my eyes look whiter so I look more awake. If you love Dark Brown that is available also!

Unless something amazing comes out in the next few months…this is the palette of the year for me. The shadows blend like butter on my lids and I am crazy about matte eye shades so this is the perfect palette for me. The looks you can create are endless with this. I’ve done all matte looks, all shimmer, and shimmer and matte colors mixed.
Usually I can’t do all shimmer on my eyes but the quality and smoothness of these shadows makes it all possible. I even love the shade White in the palette because it blends out beautifully. Usually I have to stay away from bright whites because they look gray or chalky on me. Not the case with this palette. It just works!

This pretty palette is at Ulta and Sephora’s online site. My Sephora doesn’t stock Lorac products which I really think is a shame so I usually end up getting my stuff from them at Ulta. You also get a mini (.17 oz) Behind the Scenes Eye Shadow Primer in the box with your palette. I love Lorac’s eye primer like I love cooked food so if you haven’t tried it yet this is a great way to check it out without purchasing a full size tube.
