I love this stuff…check out the description from the Mac website:
New Foundation technology using translucent pigments to enable a fully personalized finish influenced by the subtleties of your own skin’s undertone. Moisturizing demi-matte finish. Medium buildable coverage. Line-reducing soft-focus powders.
I got this recently and I’ve been using the heck out of it. It’s really working for my combination skin-I stay matte in my t-zone for most of the day! It’s kind of amazing. I love the color match. I found a great chart on Temptalia that translates your current Mac foundation shade to a Matchmaster shade. The chart worked perfectly for me when I went to the Mac store in Las Vegas last week. When I got color matched by the sales associate the color on the Temptalia chart said I was a 7.5 and that was my color.
So besides keeping my oil slick in check this foundation looks like my skin but better. I have been putting it on with a foundation brush but I think fingers or a sponge would work just as good. This isn’t one of those fussy foundations that takes a lot of work. I think the coverage is light to medium, its kind of buildable too. I’ve been able to cover my under eye bags by putting on a separate coat in that area without it looking bad or noticeable.
I can’t say enough about the color match though, it’s dead on and blends into my neck like few foundations do. It seems to blend so easily into the various colors or skin shades I have going on. I am a tad bit lighter in the center of my face than the outside of my face and my neck. Some brands of foundation I love can’t really address that but this one does beautifully. It is SPF 15 so it might not be great in pictures but its great for every day. And no breakouts, I was worried this would give me zits like I’ve gotten before with Studio Fix Fluid and Select SPF foundations.
At $32.50 it’s not cheap but its good. My holy grail Pro Longwear Foundation has competition now!
