Chic Profile posted on the new collection of 19 lip shades from YSL coming out in January. They have deep, medium, and bright colors and I think I’m going to pass out. I’m going to need #5 Fuchsia in Excess, #6 Pink in Devotion, and #19 Fuchsia in Rage.
Anything looking good to you? Let me know. I love the Rouge Volupte formula but the price makes me pass out to be honest…

YSL Faux Cils Shocking Mascara-No.1 Deep Black

This is an interesting mascara. I love it but there are people out there that are not going to want to bother. I like thick, poofy, false looking lashes and I always have. I don’t care if I have to get the clumps out. With this mascara you really need to be patient and be ready to clean up extra product here and there. That being said I do love the end result. But if your a slap it on and go girl (like I am most times) this mascara may not be for you.
With the before and after I’m going to show you my wimpy lashes and what this mascara does for them. Here we go!
Before and After-two coats
Besides the fact that I need my eyebrows waxed I hope you get the idea that this looks pretty good. Personally I love it but since I’ve been using this I’ve noticed that you have to be on clump watch and the thick formula is your friend some days and some days its not. I have to wipe extra product off of the brush every other day and also have my lash brush on hand to help out when things get hairy/too clumpy. So basically this is a high maintenance mascara in my book. At $30 a tube that’s not gonna be worth it to some. If you want to spend that much loot and prefer less work (or none at all) I recommend Armani Eyes To Kill.
I haven’t had any issues with fallout and YSL Shocking lasts all day in 100 degree heat no problem! My lashes are slightly hard after using this but not stiff as a board which worries me. There are five other colors available besides black. I picked this up at Neiman’s. Check it out at the YSL counter on your next visit!

This is GOOD.
This is a very comfortable matte lipstick from YSL. Maybe you can tell how much I love it from all the pictures? Ha! There are three new matte lip colors from YSL for Fall. I knew this was the one for me at first glance. I have a thing for red lipstick after all. Check out the details from the YSL website on these:

I can co-sign on the comfort. Just like Chanel’s Rouge Allure Velvet La Fascinante #38 this is so easy to wear. It’s not as shiny as the Chanel but it’s not chalky either thank goodness. This feels like really good balm on my lips. It lasts a good four hours on me with minor touch ups through out the day. This is a winner. I don’t know what to make of this…its very different from anything that I’ve ever used before. I got #13 from Nordstrom, it’s an exclusive color that they have. From the second I opened this gloss up I knew it was different. It’s glossy but full of some serious pigmentation. Even when the glossiness goes away after 3 hrs or so, the color stays. I kind of feel like this is slowly drying out on my lips during the day. I know that doesn’t sound good but I feel that hour by hour my lips are a little less glossy. The color looks consistently great though. This might not be a great fit for everyone but I like different, so it works for me.
Sephora has 19 pretty shades of Rouge Pur Couture to choose from! Here is the product description from the Sephora website:

I must say that I love the way Rose Tempura looks. The stain stays with you all day but you will loose the glossy shine over time and on your coffee cup and after a meal. Besides the fantastic color payoff the flat wide wand makes application really easy. I’m in love with the wand. Its so wide and soft! I detected a flowery scent whenever I used this. It fades but it is there for the first few minutes after application.
This is really a fun product to try. Check it out at Nordstrom or Sephora in person to see if you like it. They recently added all the other shades (19 of em!) to the Nordstrom website. I think for many this is a product that you should try before you buy.
