I’m crazy about red lips but I’ve met my match with this combo!

Jungle Red Lipstick ($24) and Jungle Red Lip Liner ($22)

I’m not big on lip liner usually. I think its because when I started using makeup lip liners where tough. Drawing on your lips was like torture and it literally hurt. I know for years now lip liners have been creamy and easier to use but the image of dragging a crappy lip liner across my lips has always stayed with me.

I went to the Nars booth at The Makeup Show in NYC months ago and said to one of the Nars reps I want the best red you’ve got! I walked away  from the booth with several things (Nars was 30% off!!!) and this duo. I know for this lipstick I didn’t need the lip liner necessarily but I like the matchy matchy thing I’ve got going here.

Application is easy. I start off with a little balm (EOS) or Mac Lip Conditioner and then I line and fill in my lips with Jungle Red Lip Liner. Then I apply Jungle Red Lipstick which is a semi-matte shade by the way. It’s a very moisturizing matte thats comfortable to wear which is good. It’s not like I can return it ha! Both of these products are highly pigmented as well as smooth and creamy.

Here’s the end result and because I use the lip liner all over my lips not just around the edges…this lasts ALL DAY!
