This is just as good as I knew it would be. Corinthian Eye Shadow ($30) from Le Metier De Beaute is kind of legendary. It’s such a beautiful color as soon as I saw it on my first visit to the counter I fell in love. I stuck my finger right in the tester which is unusual for me because testers sort of freak me out. I always wonder who sneezed on the display, my mind goes into overdrive. Sorry I have issues. Anyway the only problem is that everyone loves this color and it’s never in stock! I didn’t special order it or anything which I could have but I just waited. It finally was in stock last week and boy was it worth it! Such a pretty color that goes with everything. I am going to get a lot of mileage out of this! It’s a great neutral type color.

I saw this on a blog and thought easy purple smoky eye! This is a Plum Caviar Eye Stick from Laura Mercier. It retails for $24 and initially I wanted a few of these. They have some pretty shades available and it would be easy to go nuts over these. But I was a good girl and just got one in my favorite color. It’s so easy to line your eye or do a quick smoky eye. It’s a great tool, I love when something is easy to use but makes you look like you really know what you’re doing. It’s so creamy and just glides on, I love this thing. If purple isn’t your thing it comes in blue and green too. If you have a Laura Mercier counter near you swatch these!

Guerlain is a new brand that I’m just starting to get into. I was really put off by them last year when they came out with $85 eye palettes. I really figured then that I’d never make a purchase at that price point. Holy hell! Well this is better-kind of. I mean I still wish these palettes were cheaper than $59 each but I gotta tell you I love this thing. It’s palette #01 Les Violets. I have used this palette with the Plum Laura Mercier Eye Stick reviewed above and they go really well together. The four purple shades in the palette are swatched above on the right and the Plum Eye Stick is swatched above them. See how pretty that all is? I am such a purple freak I could use this combo every day. Love it.
