Sephora Collection Supreme Cleansing Oil-6.4 oz., $15
First off let me say that I went into using this with super high hopes. They were dashed immediately. I’m a cleansing oil lover and I’ve tried several other brands. This one is the heaviest feeling ones out of all of them. It feels so heavy and this might seem odd to say but it was really “oily”. The other formulas that I’ve used seemed much lighter. It felt like I was spreading a very thick castor oil on my face. Yikes. I really think that if this formula was lighter I’d love it. I really love the price!
Using a cleansing oil is easy. I just pumped some of the product into my hand and rubbed the oil on my face! You should use cleansing oil alone on the face (don’t introduce water yet!) and your makeup will melt off. I gently rub around my eyes to loosen up the existing eye makeup and mascara. Then you can add a little water to your face and rub a little more (gently) and rinse. This cleansing oil did get my makeup off but my face stayed oily after rinsing and thats the problem. Usually I can grab a pump of Philosophy Purity and work that around and rinse and I’m done. But my face was so oily I had to rinse twice with Purity almost each day while testing this out. Not good. Yuck.
After several days I was done testing this. I really felt like I was going to have a break out. That is totally irrational but there you have it. It’s going back to Sephora. It’s a shame.

I loved this cleansing oil because I have extremely dry skin and didn’t have to pile on the moisturizer and creams after. I agree that this oil is oily (lol…I agree that sounds silly to say), but since the weather is changing my skin is about to turn lizard like any day now. I think this will be a great fall/winter product for me.
Thanks for your blog Crystal. I really enjoy reading your reviews and watching your YouTube videos!

I’m so glad that it works for you that makes so much sense that for dry skin this is a good thing! Thanks so much for reading the posts and watching videos!

This is the worst!!!! I had to return mine after using it twice. It is so heavy I think even butter would wash off better than this oil.
crystalis007 says
It’s crazy heavy!

I honestly tried to love this but it was awful. I love my MAC cleansing oil for so many years now, that why bother with something else.

I love the Mac cleansing oil!

Ion don’t like it either! It’s fine when first applying it but once you add water to emulsify it turns ghost white and ridiculously thick! It’s nearly impossible to get off your skin. Luckily I didn’t pay for mine. I adore Dermalogica Precleanse but it’s SO expensive! I think it’s worth it though!

I haven’t tried any Dermalogica products before sounds good!
