Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Cream-Purple Haze

This color is for purple fanatics everywhere! Hear me now. We have a signature color and it’s called Purple Haze.

I have been messing around with Buxom lip glosses for weeks now and I have to admit this is the last one I tried. I felt like it was too purple. Purple lover that I am I really thought the color in the tube would translate into a shade that isn’t wearable for everyday. I love really bold colors but every day I need something that isn’t too scary as I run around doing day to day stuff. I thought this would be great but I had no idea it would be such an appropriate color for each and every day!

I did a full review on Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Creams on my Cherry Flip post. If you want to see Pink Lady check that out also, its quite a different color for me. It’s a pretty pink and I wear pink all the time BUT this is not a shade I’ve been brave enough to even try before.

I took some time testing these colors out. At $18 a tube I think these are a good purchase and great to take on the go. I love the tingling sensation and the plumping effect isn’t annoying. But like several of you have told me once you start using one of these, you want ALL of them! These are available at Sephora (online also!) and I will be on the hunt for more.

    Hi,
I am a new follower and I am getting to know you however, I am curious to know if you purposly put your glosses on sooo light. I have many high end glosses that I buy just because of the pigmentation. You seem to love the pigmentation as well but when you show us on your lips its like you gave us one layer. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Hi! Great question. I think that may have something to do with when I take the pictures for lipstick/lip gloss posts. I found out when I started that if I took pictures right after I applied most colors they look super glossy and almost too thick. I take pictures after the gloss has been on a bit and how it looks most of the time its worn. I don’t like several layers of gloss personally because I get it all over myself and drinks. I also think it would give people unrealistic expectations regarding the pigmentation of a gloss or lipstick if I put on several layers.
You make a great point and it’s something that should be explained like I would in a mascara post. In a mascara post I would say how many layers of product I have on.

Personally I love your gloss reviews because I can tell if I’ll like the color seeing it on you. So many blogs I follow swatch all the colors on the hand and that isn’t as helpful to me.
