I never met a red lipstick that I didn’t like. When Chanel came out with a limited edition collection called Byzance De Chanel (check it out on chanel.com) and I saw this red lipstick I had to get it. I’m not a huge fan of Rouge Allure Lipstick. Unfortunately they tend to be lacking in moisture as far as I’m concerned but as usual the color/pigmentation/chanel frenzy overtook me so I got it.

This color is so much fun. It’s a nice deeply pigmented red with tasteful shimmer. It’s definitely a look at me red but hey I think my lips are screaming it in a tasteful way! The formula is as smooth as it should be for $32 a tube. I am glad I purchased this but if you’re looking for moisture and all day comfort this might not be for you. This shade lasted 4-5 hours on me. The second time I tested this out I used balm underneath and clear gloss on top of the color and that made it last longer on my lips and made it way more comfortable throughout the day. That’s how I’m going to use it from now on.
