I love putting makeup on but taking it off is nothing but a hassle. I never go to bed with makeup on my face and usually I use Dove Cleansing Wipes. I use them in particular because I am so lazy and I want to remove my makeup quick and easy. I only stick with removal products that don’t irritate my skin at all and don’t leave a crazy film behind that is either drying or greasy. Those products are few and far between. I’ve tried a little bit of everything and had the sore irritated skin to prove it. This mousse is alcohol, oil, and soap free. In fact it’s “free” of a lot of the usual stuff that you’ll find in most of the stuff you already use. There aren’t any parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, or dyes. That’s why I picked it up a few months ago.

Clean FX Make-Up Cleansing Mousse is a nice complement to what I do now when I’m removing my makeup. In fact I prefer it sometimes because it just feels neat! No crazy oily residue or tight skin left behind and no irritation. And the foam makes the whole boring process fun.

The mousse is easy to use. You can apply the foam to your skin (messy and kinda scary/wasteful) or pump the foam into a cotton ball (my prefered method) and then use that ball of cotton to wipe your makeup off. Either way your makeup will come of easily. Now waterproof or long-lasting eye products are going to take more swipes with the cotton ball. I’ve been using this for a month and with many different waterproof mascara formulas. Waterproof formulas are going to take more elbow grease than the rest of your makeup trust me. But I really prefer using this because I tend to lean toward products good for sensitive eyes that wont make me have a red-eye meltdown. I have sensitive allergy/contact wearing eyes that don’t react well with most eye removal formulas and this mousse doesn’t drive me crazy or give me red eyes. I think its gentle enough to get the job done but still be good for sensitive eyes.

Now the price is the only drawback….for this 5.07 oz can this product is $28 at Sephora. I got it at a makeup show at a discount and I’ve been using it sparingly. But I realize that’s a lot of loot for makeup remover. They have a 1.86 oz bottle for $14 at Sephora online too. I wish this was cheaper but I’ll enjoy it while it lasts!

I’ve really come to love cleansing oils, even for oily skin, and even though I wear contacts. They take off everything, including eye makeup.

I have always been afraid to try them because I have oily skin but I heard that is ok even if you have skin like mine. So one day I have to try them!

Crstal I have oily skin too and LOVE LOVE LOVE the MAC Cleansing Oil. I just finished my first bottle and WANT/NEED a new one. :O) Believe it or not the oil isn’t oil or leaves a residue. I take off my makeup with the MCO and then wash with my regular cleanser, etc. And boy does it get off stubborn mascara no matter how many coats. Ask MAC to give you a sample and then you can try w/o the big commitment.

I’ve seen some people on YT say the Dr. Bronners Liquid Soap, I think that’s the name. I’ve seen it sold all over. But my understanding is that is a soap. The Cleansing Oil isn’t. Anyway hope that helps. :O)
