Covergirl Hot #305 Lipstick

I love a bright lipstick and I don’t know where I’ve been that I missed this masterpiece. I love my Maybelline Colorsensational’s best but this Covergirl Lipstick is perfection…it’s got to be the show piece of the whole line.

I love a good blue based red. They make your teeth look brighter and depending on your skin color they really can pop! I love colors like this because they take on an almost neon quality (must be the POP!) against my deeper skin tone. I love that and look for it. Formula wise this isn’t the most moisturizing ever but its something that doesn’t dry out my lips during the day and for extra moisture a little balm before application does the trick.

With reds like this application is tricky. You can’t be too careful it seems and touching up might be needed after meals. I didn’t use a lip liner with this and it wasn’t needed in my opinion. The formula is rich enough to stay put and the color got into my lip lines just a little bit. It didn’t bleed though.

For under $10 at the drugstore I can’t recommend this enough if you are looking for a POWER red. In my area this color tends to be out of stock. When I said that in a recent YouTube video many people commented that this is Taylor Swifts red lipstick. If that’s true she has great taste! I know she’s their spokesperson but it would be a pleasure to wear this shade often. I know I will!
