Covergirl LipPerfection Lipstick Burn #290

Another fantastic lipstick from Covergirl that I picked up at the drugstore. This is a nice burnt orange/red shade with a nice shimmer. I wanted to try this shade because it’s out of my comfort zone but I think it’s a great color for my skin tone. These lipsticks really are impressive and I love the fact that for less than $10 you can get a really great lipstick in practically any color that you can think of. The shade choices are amazing in this line and there is something for everyone. I’d even recommend this to girls that aren’t into lipstick.

Unlike the Covergirl LipPerfection color I showed you last week Burn has shimmer. That shimmer does tend to settle in the fine lines in my lips so I’d recommend using lip balm before applying it. You can see the shimmer settled in my lip lines a little bit in the following pictures, I went without balm and took this picture after wearing the lipstick four hours. I really love this lipstick formula without shimmer much better. This shade with the shimmer is a bit more work or upkeep that I’d rather not deal with.

This formula lasts 4-5 good hours on me and touching up is a breeze. The color I showed you last week is my favorite shade so far, it’s a color called Tempt. Check that color out here if you missed it. I rated it higher because I feel that without shimmer LipPerfection is goof proof and the perfect choice for everyone from a lipstick novice to a lipstick connoisseur.

Rated B

Disclosure: I purchased this item myself!
