Dolce & Gabbana- Luminous Liquid Foundation Swatches

I’ve gotten so many questions lately about the latest foundation from D&G! I put up swatches for the deeper shades of Dolce’s Perfect Finish Creamy Foundation when it came out so I thought I’d put up a post with swatches for the Luminous Liquid. I liked the Creamy Foundation (reviewed here) but was a little unhappy with the container. I’ll put up a review of Luminous Liquid in the future. I love that it’s just coming out because my skin turns more normal (t-zone) to dry (cheeks & chin) in the Fall/Winter. Something like this would be a fail in the Spring/Summer for me most likely. It’s retailing for $59 for a 1 oz. bottle and there are twelve shades available on the Saks website but I think there are more. Until my review here is a brief description from the Saks website on the foundation:

For the woman who desires to enhance her natural beauty with a complexion that gleams with lustrous radiance. Dolce & Gabbana presents a sophisticated, modern fluid format for foundation that is silken and sensuous. Dressing the skin with radiant, golden light, the complexion appears perfected with a flawless, dewy finish and impalpable coverage. Each shade offers skin an amazing natural looking coverage with skin conditioning and hydrating benefits.

I can’t wait to compare this to my latest love YSL’s Le Teint Touche Eclat. I wonder which will make me glow more:)

Here are those swatches! Remember to click on a picture to make it bigger.

Yesss! Thank you so much! I’ve been ready to pull the trigger on this foundation for weeks, but I needed a good look at some of the shades. Here’s the thing, though: I have the creamy foundation in Soft Tan (which I love), but do the liquid shades equal the creamy shades? Like, I know they share the same number/name combos so if I am 160 Soft Tan in the creamy, am I the same in the liquid? What do you think? It would make sense to me, but I’d like to be as sure as possible.

I’m getting Soft Sable in the Luminous Liquid and that’s what I am in the Creamy. I feel like my color is the same the biggest difference is that (sounds silly but) it’s a lighter weight formula than the creamy which is just what you’d expect. It blends really nicely into the skin.

I can’t wait for your review of the new Dolce and Gabbana liquid foundation. I am kinda of stuck over choosing the new Dolce and Gabbana Vs. the new YSL. Thanks

I can’t believe I didn’t know about this foundation! I have been searching for my HG foundation and I think this maybe it! When the YSL touche elcat foundation came out I was in love with the finish, but it would stay put on my face. It would just melt off my face once I went out side. So today I decide to run to my D&G counter to test it out. The sales associate told me that the shade rang was a little different then the creamy foundation. At first i was a little skeptical because I have been missed matched so many times. I decided to buy it because it looked pretty good. I must say it held up pretty well all day without a primer and looked AMAZING!!!! I have combo acne prone skin and it covered up my acne scars pretty well! Super HAPPY about it!!! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!!!

I purchased DG liquid foundation today which is my holy gail foundation. I tried Armani, YSL, Dior and etc…. my oily skin didn’t make me oily and covers acne scars and made me beautiful skin that was impressive. It will be long time foundation & very happy with it. Saks DG make up artist was wonderful and professional to do make up with new line animalia collection fall 2012 that i purchased together. DG new line for me and great

Thank you so much for doing all the work so we could see the swatches.

Before I saw your swatches, I was headed toward the honey and now I think maybe the soft tan.

Dare I just order it without trying it on? Have to see how lazy I am.

    Anyway, thank you.
