Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer-#5 Deep

I really like this concealer from Estee Lauder. I don’t know why it took me so long to try it out but I am beyond happy with its performance and coverage.

I’m hard on concealer but I think most people are. The worst traits that a concealer can have are creasing and fading to me but it’s amazing how many concealers out there do both on me. Right now I have a few favorite concealers but I’m always on the hunt for another. I think the only thing harder to find than a good concealer is a good eye primer. But sometimes the stars are all lined up just right and you get lucky!

The best thing about this concealer is the wand! I love the doe foot applicator and how easy it is to slap on just the right amount of concealer under my big old under eye suitcases. I usually have to put concealer on my hand and then dip my concealer brush into it for application. And with Mac Studio Finish I have to dig out concealer with my finger. Both ways are not too messy but do annoy me a little when I’m in a hurry. This wand makes things easy.  I dab a few dots of concealer under my eye and smooth it in with my finger or blot at it with a damp beauty sponge. Its so quick and easy.

The color match is a good one for me. This concealer doesn’t crease or fade on me and lasts all day long. It’s good at covering blemishes too. I have a bad zit on my chin and I’ve been using this over it every day. It hasn’t made the situation worse for me (no breakouts in the area) so I think its important to note that your skin while recovering won’t get worse. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to cover something and instead started a zit farm! My only issue is with the amount you get. I don’t feel like this tube is gonna last long. That’s the only thing that doesn’t work for me and the only thing that keeps this from being a home run.

Check this out at the Estee Lauder counter or online. It’s $22 a tube and there are 10 shades available-everything from Extra Light to Extra Deep.
