So imagine my surprise when I opened this gloss the first time and all I could smell after unscrewing the top was….CAKE BATTER. I swear this smells just like a box of Duncan Hines cake mix. Unbelievable. Someone introduced me to Cake Batter Ice Cream at Coldstone Creamery recently and let me tell you. I LOVE CAKE BATTER…ok on to the review.

There are so many beautiful colors to choose from in this new lip gloss line from L’oreal. That is a huge plus. There were pinks, corals, reds, and clear versions of this new gloss. I love a good selection so I was really impressed. The huge J.Lo display was full of color choices. I found four colors I was excited about but decided to just get this one. To be honest I wasn’t sure I would like it. I’ve liked very few L’oreal lip products in the past. I feel like their products are hit or miss.

I tried this out as soon as I got home. After I went a little nuts over the yummy smell I smoothed the gloss on my lips and was pleased. I love glitter but it has to be fine glitter when it comes to lip products, the kind that isn’t thick or very noticeable on the lips. The glitter in this gloss is just right. This shade has a very nice subtile sheen of glitter. I love it. I would definitely get another shade. They had some pinks and corals that looked really pretty. I’m glad I picked one of these up! They retail for a little under $9 at the drugstore. Not a bad price.
