Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter & Burt’s Bee’s Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme

First off I love the name…Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter! Cute huh?!

This is a product I’ve been using for a few months on my dry (oh so dry) cuticles. I was previously a huge Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme fan. I have gone through three tins of that stuff in recent years. So I was interested in finding out about the differences between the two products. They are both yummy smelling and lemony but which is better?

The tub for Lush’s cuticle butter is 1.5 oz which is nice in comparison to the much smaller .60 oz. Burt’s Bees tin. The difference in price is interesting. The Lush tub is $14.95 and the Burt’s Bees tin is $6 at Walmart.

I would say the Burt’s Bees version has more staying power and lasts through more hand washings for me. At $6 and with more staying power this is better to me. I used Burt’s Bee’s on one hand and Lush’s Lemony Flutter on the other a few times and Burt’s Bee’s was the clear winner every time. My dry cuticles just love the Burt’s Bee’s Creme. I think the longer you need to re-apply the better. I can apply the Burt’s Bee’s formula once a day.

After my Lush tub is done I’m going back to Burt’s Bees:) But if you are looking for something that’s great for dry heels and elbows maybe the Lush Lemony Butter is right for you. Because it’s larger and a lighter consistency it’s better for all over moisturizing. So take all that into consideration when looking into which of the two might fit your needs best.

OMG!! I NEVER KNEW THERE WAS A CUTICLE BUTTER OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT! I AM SOOO EXCITED! MY CUTICLES ARE LIKE SOOO DRY, THAT THEY CRACK, AND THE LOTION THAT I USE, JUST DOESN’T DO IT! SO IF IT WORKS FOR YOU, THEN I AM DOWN TO TRY IT OUT! I WILL HAVE TO PICK SOME BURTS BEE’S CUTICLE CREAM THIS WEEK! YAY!!!

I’ve been looking for a good cuticle butter. I think I’ll probably end up getting both, being the beauty addict that I am :) In the UK the Burt’s Bees is £6 and the Lush is £5.80, so the Lush is better value. I love Lush but it’s crazy how much they raise their prices in other countries.

Thank you for posting this comparison. I’ve been deciding between the 2 for quite a while. Lush, here in Singapore, is much more expensive than Burt’s Bees, and your review just made my decision!
