Mac Hot Chocolate (satin) and Apres Chic (cremesheen) Lipsticks, $15 each

I took a gamble picking up these two shades from the Apres Chic release recently. I wasn’t sure I’d like either but I love them both! I was so upset about the lipstick shades in the collection because they were pretty but sold out way too fast. Apres Chic came out early this month. I am hoping that they are making more but I’ve heard nothing about that being the case. I hawked the Mac website for Pink Pigeon from the Strong Woman collection and that’s come back twice. I picked it up thanks to a really nice girl on Instagram. Maybe they can make more of these two shades…come on Mac do us all a solid:)

I live for Hot Chocolate. It’s described as a dirty plum. It’s dirty alright! Dirty in a very good way. Apres Chic has a nice cremesheen formula and it is described on the Mac website as a pinky brick red. I feel its like a red that has an almost coral tone to it. Is that even possible? Well thats why I love both these lipsticks. They aren’t my usual suspects color wise.

If these come back-pick em up! They are more than I expected and fill two slots in my collection I didn’t know I had a place for.

I did a video on my picks from both collections. Check it out if you haven’t already!

These look awesome on you! I also purchased both of these lippies, but Apres Chic looks nothing like this on me, I’m not sure if I like it yet! I do love Hot Chocolate though!

I picked up 3 of the Hot Chocolates. What can I say, when I find a nude/neutral shade that works with my skin tone, I’m a hoarder. Did the same thing with the Kate Moss lipstick in #08. Does anyone else do this too? Why does MAC make us crazy with their limited edition shades? :)

They look great on you! The hot chocolate looks beautiful on you tho I don’t think it will work on my fair skin!
