Nars Liberte Blush

Nars makes the best blush. Just stating a fact. Liberte is the latest addition to the blush dynasty and its from the Summer 2012 Collection. This color is BEAUTIFUL and it makes me want to be a better woman….too dramatic? Ok well I do love it.

This is described as being a burnished apricot on the Nars website. I think what makes it work for me is the little bit of shimmer! Its not too much and it makes your cheeks glow just a little. I like flat blush colors but a little bit of shimmer is always appreciated by me when it comes to blush. Especially with a pretty wearable color like this. At $28 each Nars blushes are a treat/indulgence/jaw dropper but they last a long time on the cheeks and I can’t think of another brand that makes more wearable colors. I skipped last seasons Gaiety but this is right up my alley!

This is a perfect fit for deep skin tones. You just have to make sure that you use a light touch if you are fair skinned. Something about orange/coral really gives me a little glow. One of the best tricks I learned at the Nars counter is starting with a pink blush (like Desire or Mata Hari) and then topping it with something like Liberte or another orangish shade like Taj Mahal. This looks SOOOOOO good. I would have never thought to mix pink and orange but it works!

I also couldn’t wait to pull out my highlighters and pair them with this. I love using Nars Liberte blush with Estee Lauder Shimmering Sands as a highlight! They look really good together.
