This pretty shade is from the Nars Spring Collection. I usually jump on this kind of thing but I was worried about how matte this lipstick was. I’m funny because when it comes to my face I love hearing the word matte but when it comes to lips I am wary. My fears where set aside after applying this. It feels great and looks fantastic. It’s a deep raspberry shade that seems like a Fall color to me but who am I to judge? This looks great year round I’m sure.
The formula doesn’t suck the moisture out of your lips at all. I used it with and without balm underneath and I do prefer wearing it with balm. It felt more comfortable and seemed to last longer with a little moisture underneath. I love the color and can get about 4 hrs of wear out of this shade. It even fades nicely through meals and drinks and I didn’t feel the need to touch it up afterwards.
Did I mention the color is gorgeous? Ha! At $25 a tube it is expensive but I really like it. I took a peek at what Nars has in store for us with their Summer collection last night and I hope that one of the lipsticks that I saw is a Pure Matte Lipstick. I will pick it up now that I know how nice they are. Nars Pure Matte Lipstick is comfortable to wear and looks great.

I looked at this in sephora but passed because I was scaed of the matte formula but this looks great. Think i will take another look.
Thats why I didn’t pick it up when the Spring Collection came out. I thought it would be yucky matte but thank goodness it isn’t!
