NYX Glam Shadow Sticks, $4.50/Ulta

I came across these in a display at Ulta recently. There are so many colors available! And for around $5 each I couldn’t wait to try a few. I picked up Glistening Emerald and Wicked Onyx. To me they stood out among all the colors in the display and I loved how they shimmered on my hand when swatching at the store! I love Ulta because they always have testers out. Thank you Ulta.

Soft texture that applies precisely onto eyelids, leaves an even payoff of rich color and shimmer that won’t smear or fade. It’s texture is thin, non-oily and blendable, but will not crease. The pen is retractable, to make it easy to apply, even on the go.

Ok the bad news. These travel quite a bit on me even with eye primer unless I use a very thin layer. Maybe I’m too heavy handed but if you build this up or use a bit more than a thin layer it might be a problem. If you top this with powder shadow it helps. At this price and for these colors I’ll deal. Here are some quick swatches.

See how the shimmer makes my camera have a fit? Love that. These colors look great on the lid. There are sixteen colors in all and I think I might go back to Ulta and pick up Radiant Sapphire. If you don’t have an Ulta nearby these are on the website so you can order online if you’d like to try one out. Just mix the color really well on your lids and enjoy the sparkle!
