Palette of the Day: Chanel Tentation Cuivree Quad

This is from the last holiday collection and I remember being so excited in the store when I swatched this quad. It’s the only eye quad that I have from Chanel because frankly I really need some serious pigmentation for one of these palettes to be worth it to me and thank goodness this fits the bill.

These colors all work together beautifully. I always get compliments when I use this palette because the colors look so pretty and striking. I love using the lightest color in the inner corner of my eye for a little brightening effect. I have used a very light application of the Benefit Creaseless Shadow from the post below this one in Get Figgy with this quad as a base. But this quad is just as gorgeous on its own without a cream base and some eye primer.

I hope they make more eyeshadow combo’s like this or then again maybe I don’t because the price is a wallet buster at $56!

This was a good palette, but I found that the light brown and sometime the pink had some glitter fall out…there is a new palette for Fall 2011 that I just got called Prelude and it’s AWESOME…very neutral, but you can do a GREAT smokey eye with it. Also with thier call collection Fall they have their verison of their GA Eyes to Kill potted cream/powder eye shadows (i like GA’s better, but Chanel’s are worth trying)…wow…I <3 Chanel, what's a girl to do:D!?!?!?!?!

Your right there is some fallout for me too. I saw Prelude on The Makeup Look Book and it looks nice. I’m waiting for my UPS man now to bring me two of those Long Wearing shadows. I ordered the green and the purple! I can’t wait to try them. They look amazing!

I have Busy Signal. It’s a dark brown color with sparkles. It’s very pretty to wear everyday as a neutral.
