Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer-Big Bang $4.99 at Walgreens
I love this one! It’s a bright beautiful red from Rimmel’s new Show Off Lip Lacquer line. I have enjoyed the colors that I’ve picked up from Walgreens and this is the hands down winner for favorite bright! I showed you my favorite everyday shade Light Year the other day but this….is my power red!
At around $5 I think this line of lip lacquers from Rimmel is a must try. I find the colors to be so freaking pigmented that if you really like color that will stand out you must try this. It’s moisturizing also! After application with the doe foot applicator it seriously looks like you put on your favorite lipstick. I have never been able to say that about a gloss/lip lacquer formula before. Big Bang is a knockout! It’s a juicy red that will get you noticed that is for sure!
I end up touching up my color after meals and drinks but I can easily go four hours+ without a touch up if I’m not having a meal or drinking. There isn’t any odd taste but the smell has put a lot of people off of these. It’s kind of a chemical like or plastic smell to me. I can’t really put my finger on it but on my lips it doesn’t linger at all. I can’t smell it after applying the shade. The only issue I’ve run into with this shade and the other Show Off colors is that this formula is sooo attracted to my teeth. Make sure you check your teeth regularly for transfer!

Loving these Rimmel Apocalips/Show Off Lip Lacquers! So pretty.
If I might ask – do you have any tips on wearing a red lip – I feel that (despite how much I love this shade) I would feel quite self concious with this on my lips!
I think just choosing the right time for it will give you the confidence. One afternoon or evening when your at home staying put for the night try it out until you go to bed. That way if its a while you’ll know how it looks over a good period of time…what it looks like after you’ve had something to drink or dinner. You’ll know how it wears/feels on better and if it looks ok after eating and drinking. That makes me so much more comfortable with a color and that gives me confidence wearing it. I feel like I know how I look so I’m more at ease!

I am in LOVE with these!! I have been waiting for them to come to the US for months so of course I freaked out when I saw them and bought 6 lol. I have a problem, I know, especially since I’m thinking of getting 2 more. They are my all time favorites.

Looks gorgeous! Haven’t seen it here in french Canada yet haha. I don’t know how I’d feel about the smell… I usually can’t take chemical type smells
