Shampoo & Conditioner….Which Brands Are Your Favorites?

Hair care products confuse and frustrate me. Does it ever seem to you like once you find something that works for you when you go back to the store its gone? That happens to me a lot with hair shampoo and conditioners. I love to try new things but I know if I like something it may not be there when I come back a few months later. The only thing that changes more than shampoo/conditioner formulas is deodorant. I don’t think I’ve been able to snag the same brand/scent in years. They clear the shelves of my last favorite before I can get back to buy more!

So I tend to stick with things that will never go away like Pantene and the Aussie line. I’ve got some favorites from them but when branching out and trying new technology I have a little terror in my heart that I will have trouble getting the same thing again.

Have you tried some new things in the last year or so? Or do you stick with what you know works and will be there for you? I can’t get enough of Pantene’s Relaxed & Natural Line and if Aussie Moist conditioner ever goes away my hair will be a wreck!

I know what you mean! I generally like Aussie and Redken. I want to branch out to tresmme but there’s so many options and I don’t know what will last or work for me!

Yeah it’s just so much harder to try whats new and “supposed” to work better when you are not sure that it will be around when you come to the store again!

I really like the Seri Cosmetics Shampoo and Conditioner for Dry and Worn hair, I use it for more than 3 years now. My hair is naturaly curly, it doesn’t go greasy, but it’s super dry. Those products give me feather like hair and softness. They are very lovely scented, the shampoo smells like peaches. There is also a hair mask in this range and I can recommend that too. If you are looking for something new to try and know it’s going to be there for a long time to repurchase, go ahead. :)

I also tend to use the same products over and over again. My two favorites are Redken and Bed Head. Have you tried Redken “All Soft” ? I have curly hair and it is great to keep it from being too dry.

PS : I LOVE your videos. They’re so useful and fun to watch – thanks for making them :-)

I’ve had good results with Keracare products. I used Ojon for a while but they re-formulated a lot of their products which I was like why!? I’ve been using Wen for the past year and a half and I love it. I never really found anything from the drugstore that I really really liked.

it is. they don’t have a lot of shows like they used to. i think it has something with the guy selling the company but don’t quote me on that. when i used to get my hair done at jcpenny’s, my hairdresser at the time recommended the products to me.

I’m an Aveda girl. I like Shampure, Rosemary Mint, and Pure Abundance formulas. I also like John Frieda and I’ve recently started using Pureology (the hydrating formula).

I have oily hair and have to wash it every day. Uuuggghhh. I use Pantene, which I love. And I switch it up with Bumble and Bumble. I hate to say this, but I hate sending a lot of money on shampoo and conditioner. I guess if I found a really good one that gave me noticeable body, I wouldn’t mind. :)

Right now I’m using the new shampoo/conditioner from the Balm but have only used it for just a few days, not long enough to form an opinion one way or another. However, after trying different things, I always end up re-purchasing pantene. I have long, fine hair and it doesn’t seem to leave any residue or dry it out like some of the bargain brands.

This line is expensive as crap but I love the Moroccan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo & Conditioner. I’m still searching for a good drugstore shampoo & conditioner.

The product junkie within me always wants to rush out and try the latest-n-supposedly greatest in hopes of finding the best product for my hair. I’m currently transitioning (somewhere b/t relaxed and hella new growth LOL), but i have been loving the Curls Unleashed line by ORS (organic root stimulator). The products are reasonably priced and you can find at Walgreens, CVS, Sally Beauty Supply, some Target & Walmart.

When I’m not at the salon and forced to DImY (do it myself), my faves from this line are: Lavish in Lather Sulfate-Free shampoo and the No Restrictions conditioner. When I need to clarify my hair from product build up i will wash first w/ORS Aloe Shampoo and for a deep conditioner I apply the ORS Replenishing Pak. Oh and all their products have a good smell!

I have naturally curly hair that craves moisture and of all things I’ve found that Herbal Essence’s Hello Hydration works the best for me. My curls always bounce right back and are well defined after using it. Best of all is the delicious coconut smell.

I love Herbal Essence !!! So addictive ! I have the yellow one that I think is for strength with honey and apricot and it has done wonders for my hair !

I use the L’oreal Ever Creme for dry to very dry hair. I have naturally curly, VERY dry hair. It’s sulfate/silicone free. It smells divine, it’s not horribly expensive, and my hair looks and feels amazing! I love it!!
