This Just In: Beautyblender

I got this in the mail the other day and I tweeted a picture of it (Follow me on twitter, crystalcam) because I was so excited. I can’t wait to try this! This one in particular is approx. $19. I’ve heard so many things about it and I like to try new application methods for foundation so I am going to be checking this out next week.

Do you have a Beautyblender? Do tell!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my beauty blender. I got a two pack with cleanser at IMATS 2009 and I still have cleanser and down to one blender. The first one lasted almost two years. But that does depend on how often you use and wash it. When I go to IMATS in June I’m getting another set. I’ve heard of other “blenders” but haven’t tried them. Since I get them at IMATS for a deal and they last “forever” I don’t mind at all paying a little more for the original. :O)

Tips: Make sure you saturate it with water and wring it out so the sponge is damp. It works much better. I apply my foundation with a foundation brush first and then use the blender to well blend it all together. (sort of like what Eve Pearl does). Also blot like you would with a stipple brush, pressing the foundation into your skin.

I hope these were helpful and you like it and enjoy.

Thanks for the great tips, T.R.! I have the Sonia Kashuk version, but I still haven’t figured out the best way to use it. Would love to see a video once you get the hang of it Crystal!
