Mac Pleasure Bomb Lipstick, $16.50 at Mac Cosmetics
Limited edition goodness in small quantities makes me sick. This beautiful lip color from the Riri Hearts Mac Holiday collection was one of those things. It sold out so quick that I know that some that wanted it didn’t get it. Grrrrrrr. I am going to show it to you anyway since so many people asked but trust me I hope part of the plan in 2014 for Mac is BETTER PLANNING.
This matte fuchsia is gorgeous. I love it. It isn’t super unique though so if you missed it there are some similar colors from Mac you might have that are just like it. The only thing you will miss is the matte finish which if I’m honest isn’t all that. Shades like Mac Lickable, Girl About Town, Impassioned, Moxie, and All Fired Up. Wait All Fired Up is a matte also. From the retro matte collection that came out recently. I have that one and its great! So is Flat Out Fabulous. I posted on that one a while back.
I do love this shade. It’s bright and beautiful and crazy pretty on. I just wish they’d make more! This has nothing to do with the Mac Riri collection but on a recent visit to a CCO (Cosmetic Company Outlet/Store) store I saw so many products from last years Marilyn Monroe collection. I couldn’t believe it. I love that things like this are available at a discount instead of full price but darn it! It makes the whole instant sell out thing seem strange and suspect.
I’m hoping some Riri stuff turns up at a CCO near me. I missed out on two shades. The Riri Fall collection Nude lipstick shade and Bad Girl Riri lipstick from the Holiday Collection. Oh well maybe they will show up someday or be released again. In case you aren’t familiar with the CCO it’s where you can get Estee Lauder brands like Mac, Smashbox, Bobbi Brown etc. at a discount. Very pretty! I missed this one, ugh!!! I was so upset but as you said, that is the way it goes with them. Would love to get some of the M. Monroe stuff you mentioned. My CCO is so inconsistent with stuff, so no Marilyn makeup, but I did see some of the Archie’s Girls collection the other day.
MAC– we all love you OK. Give us all a chance at the LE stuff, please!!

That’s so pretty! I feel like MAC just plays games with us. Enough already! I wanted Punk Couture, but of course that lippie sold out fast. I go through periods where I refuse to buy MAC because of the LE stuff. I just hate it. Sorry for the rant.

No I like to hear what other people are thinking when it comes to this kind of stuff. I feel like as the consumer we just aren’t treated very well by Mac. I can’t think of another brand that does this kind of stuff. Happy New Year to you!

I agree with you guys. I really hate having to refresh 5 devices to get some danggone lipstick, looking like a fool in my own home lol. I was so lucky to get her first launch lippie riri woo, heaux and riri boy. Very lucky. I tried to get pleasure bomb and by the time I was in, it was sold out. I gave up and said never again but ugh, I hate having to find dupes for them sometimes. Sorry for my essay but MAC seriously need to get their stuff together next time. Oh and just found out there’s a cosmetics company store at the Clinton crossing mall near me in New Haven. I’ve been there 3 times and thinking it’s on the other side that I’ve never been to heh. But I will check it out in a couple of weeks.
It’s so frustrating. I love beaux and riri boy such great colors and I swear they were easier to get than things in the Fall and Holiday releases which again makes me wonder what the heck is going on lol! I hope the CCO has some great things that you can pick up for less. Nothing makes me happier than seeing things I passed on at the CCO that I can get at a discount! I love getting a second chance!
I missed out on the holiday collection. I wanted Pleasurebomb and the nude lipstick. I agree with you that MAC’s planning process needs to improve. Waiting almost 2 hours to check out items and risk it being sold out is just bad customer service. I also couldn’t understand how a product was sold out before they put it up on the site. Ridiculous! Hopefully all of the collections will be available at the CCOs soon.

I’ve been shopping with MAC since Moses parted the Red Sea (20+ years lol). The past 2 years have been crazy with this LE availability. It seems like everybody missed out on most of the Riri Holiday collection even expert bloggers. The question now becomes how much did MAC actually release? I’m fortunate that I collected everything I wanted except Pleasurebomb – I missed it, but I think Plesurebomb is extremely dupable, so I’m not mad about it. Like you said Crystal, I think some of the items will be available at the CCO. Everybody keep on the lookout.
