Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick-Untainted Spice #950, $7.49 at Ulta
I have nude lipstick issues.
It’s hard for me to find one, like one, and then the idea of me wearing it often comes into play. I have had an especially hard time finding a nude drugstore lipstick. The ones I’ve liked in the past have all been Mac shades. But now Maybelline is here to save the day. When I heard there would be a nude/buff lipstick collection I wasn’t all that excited. I figured the chances of there being a good one for me would be slim. I love the Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick formula but I wasn’t sure if they would get the colors right. I’m a Mac NC50 so I need a certain type of nude. I don’t want to look dead or like I just ate a powdered donut!
So I picked up three shades to try out. There are ten available in all. Untainted Spice looks great if I do say so myself! Oh and even more good news these are not limited edition!! I get a good amount of wear time out of this. About four hours and there isn’t any odd smell or taste. I end up touching up after meals mostly. I think the Colorsensational formula is really moisturizing but I do often top this color off with a gloss.
I love this color! It’s nude but not dead. So like I said earlier I have been playing around with this lipstick and my favorite drugstore nude glosses. Hey Crystal. Man I should have gotten Untanted Spice because I have Sinamon and I’m a zombie. It needed a liner and a gloss. I may return it because the tube was a little deceiving and the color just does not work on me.
Oh no return that sucker! I tried to get the deeper ones but it was so hard to tell I agree!
This one looks great on you. I am fairer in complexion but I think this could look great on me as well. I have to go check out the drugstore now!

This looks great on you! On me, it looks awful. It’s a really ugly brown on my lips. When I look at swatches and compare them to mine, it looks like two different lipsticks.
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that. It really is a crap shoot getting these. I loved this one instantly and with liner, without, or adding gloss whatever I do-it all works. But then there are other shades that scream for liner and all that stuff I mentioned. They need help!

I have and love this one….. it’s my favorite as well….. also have Maple kiss, I like that one too. I had originally gotten blushing beige but it was way too light, so I returned it! Untainted spice looks great on u!
I got Maple Kiss and the one with Taupe in the name. This is my favorite one by far. So glad they came out with this new group of colors. Thank you!

That looks fabulous on you!!! I didn’t have much luck with these. Touchable Taupe (940) was too deep (plum brown) for a nude look on me. Maple Kiss (440) wasn’t bad, but more of terra cotta on me. My best nude is L’oreal’s Nature’s Blush (840) or MAC’s Touch.
I keep hearing about Mac’s Touch lipstick. I have to check that out I don’t think I’ve ever seen it anywhere but I always hear about it. I was surprised that Untainted Spice was a great fit, I have so much trouble finding good ones!
I’m so glad you reviewed these. I’m NW45 and this looks like it might work for me. I’ve been using Revlon Lip Butter’s pink truffle and fig jam together, but I’m really interested in this collection.

So I grabbed Untainted Spice and I really really like it. It has the right amount of pink/brown just like my natural lips. I LOVE the fact that I don’t have to reapply as often as the Revlon Lip Butters, which are basically a pigmented balm and not really a lipstick like this one.

I picked up Stormy Sahara, I like it but I definitely have to wear a liner with it.
Yeah with the lighter ones on me a liner is essential.
Ooh Untainted Spice looks so good on you. I’m lighter than you and afraid I’ll look deathly. :[ Very hard to find the right nude nowadays. I have Covergirl Sultry. If you know, what swatches on this line matches to that or is a little more pink?
I don’t have any shades from Covergirl that are lighter. I have the bright reds and pinks/purples.
