Sound Off: Sigma Defining Eyes Palette by Tiffany D

Defining Eyes Palette ($55 at sigmabeauty.com)

I’ve seen the swatches (Tiffany’s blog post with swatches is here) and watched the Breaking Dawn tutorial Tiffany did on her YouTube channel recently.  I’m still pondering this one. The colors look good. I like the variety of shades and this palette looks like I could get a lot of use out of it.

I just don’t like Sigma palette packaging. It’s not appealing to me. It’s kind of boring and blah. But its the colors that matter I guess. I think there is a good mix for neutral looks and the shade midnight looks really good. Hopefully they will infuse some style into their stuff in the future. I’m not talking anything crazy but have you seen Urban Decay palettes Sigma? They have STYLE! Maybe sometimes it looks like your crazy Aunt Betty that drinks too much egg nog during the holidays created some of the palettes but hey you know what it is right? It’s Urban Decay without a doubt.

I use the Sigma Paris Palette and love the shadow texture. So I can’t say I will pass on this yet. I love to support products like this that are from a YouTuber or Blogger. So I’m torn!

What are you thinking? Yay or Nay? Please let us all know. I love to get your opinion on these things!

I was just looking at the Paris palette on their site. I’on know. I’ve seen her blog post and watched the video. She said she’ll be doing more looks with it so we shall see. The packaging kind of reminds me of the Too Face palettes. I like the colors and it does look like something that I would reach for or would be great for travel. I dragged my feet on the Paris palette soooo….

Maybe if they cut back on all of that boxy packaging it would be more appealing. I do get what you are saying because I also have the Paris palette and the colors are very nice. They did a very nice job with it. This one just seems too expensive especially around this time of year when there are deals galore. I know she’s giving a $6 discount. Maybe I’ll wait till the spring when I havent just purchased 4 palettes and a mess of other makeup. After saying all of that…I’ll probably cave :-)

LOL you and I are on the same page. I just feel like after all the deals I’ve already caved on this is just kind of an insult. When I’m planning out purchases based on 20% off sales and super saver holiday value kits the last thing on my radar is a full priced palette from Sigma. Maybe in the new year I’ll cave….

It looks great & I want it, but I literally JUST decided to turn Cruelty-free & I don’t know if Sigma is with their makeup! :S so sad, can someone enlighten me?

I’m gonna have to go with nay especially when i just got the lorac unzipped for $40, the urban decay I Love NY palette for 39 and the tarte holiday palette for 55, the naked palettes ran for 50 so the pricing isn’t very competitive and the colors aren’t incredibly unique.
